Honey’s Angels is a Northeast Philadelphia-based organization devoted to providing food and gift cards to struggling families during the holiday season. The grassroots effort, begun by the McVey family in 2006, honors Helen “Honey” McVey, a generous, compassionate Port Richmond native who spent much of her life caring for others—her family, her neighbors, the sick and the elderly. Since its inception, Honey’s Angels has provided food and supermarket gift cards to more than 1,100 families.

For our next project we will be providing a wonderful Thanksgiving meal to a family of 15. We’re very excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to share more about it!
